About Bachelor of Travel and Tourism

      The travel and tourism industry in India is currently experiencing unprecedented growth. The industry is one of the largest and most profitable industries in India and contributes significantly to the foreign exchange earned. As per various studies, the industry is expected to create over 45 million jobs in India by 2025.

         Students have endless career opportunities in this fast growing industry of travel and tourism. Candidates looking to pursue their career in the industry can choose to work for travel agencies, government tourism departments, tour operations, immigration and customs services, airlines, hotels, and the list continues.

        Candidates can pursue a degree, diploma, or certificate course in travel and tourism at graduation or post-graduation level. Candidates can also pursue PhD in their chosen subject of travel and tourism to build their career in the field of research.

       Course provided two month internship during third semester, related activities in tourism and hospitality industry such as Airport(Airlines), Travel, Tour companies, Hotels, Resorts according to their choice. Each industries provide placement facilities also.

       Course provided Destination visit/ study tour - important tourist destinations in india during the third or fourth semester. The duration of the study tour shall be 7 to 11 days, flight journey is compulsory.

Bachelor of TTM Eligibility Criteria

When talking about admissions for a particular course at MIC candidates can check out the common eligibility criteria for TTM admissions givenbelow.

  • Candidates must have completed an intermediate level of education or equivalent from a recognised board.

  • The minimum percentage requirement from plus two is above 55 percentage

  • There is no specific stream requirement for this programme, as such. But, candidates who have completed 10+2 with Commerce might get preference over other students.

  • Science, Humanities and Commerce students can also apply.

    Bachelor of TTM Admission Process

The admission process in BTTM is conducted either through merit or management quota

Direct Admissions for B TTM

  • The Direct Admission process is followed by a majority of colleges under Kannur University.

  • Through this pathway, candidates are selected on the basis of their marks scored in the plus two examination.

  • For this, candidates can apply through kannur university website as per university rule.

  • Admission is made on the basis of qualifying examination marks and additional weightage will be given as per the Kannur University Regulations.

  • If candidates have enrolled in the Allotment list, they will be eligible for admission in the specified institution.

  • If candidates fail to enroll in the list, they will either have to wait for the next allotment or can apply for management quota, if available.

Management Admissions for B TTM

  • The Management Admission process is followed by a majority of colleges under Kannur University.

  • For this, candidates can apply through kannur university website as per university rule.

  • After completing the University application, immediately contact the college.
